Environment
We are committed to transforming the impact of textiles on the natural environment. We recognise our responsibility to limit our own use of finite and harmful resources and to minimise the environmental impact of our operations.
Our commitment is to:
Continuously improve our environmental performance.
Manage our business operations to prevent pollution.
Reduce the consumption of natural resources and improve the efficient use of those resources.
Take action to reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions from our business activities.
Ensure environmental and climate change criteria are taken into account in the procurement and provision of goods and services.
Manage waste generated from our business according to the principles of reduction, re-use and recycling.
Comply with all relevant environmental legislation in the countries and territories where the business operates.
Review our environmental policy regularly.
People
Decent work
TMC respects the labour rights of workers in its own operations, and we ask our suppliers, partners and signatories to accept responsibility for meeting these standards by taking active steps to enable workers to realise their rights according to the principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative’s Base Code.

Roles and Responsibilities
TMC’s Executive Director holds overall accountability for this policy. All TMC managers are responsible for its implementation. All employees, volunteers, partners and suppliers of TMC and signatories to the Microfibre 2030 Commitment are required to adhere to this policy
